Emily and Lacey.

Emily as a puppy.

With English Springer Spaniels in our lives since 1984, we fell in love with a black Field Spaniel - and the rest is history as they say! Emily (Ch. Capriole's Promise to Promenade, OFA Good, CERF, elbows normal) received a Group 2 at her first puppy match at 5 months of age. She left the ring carrying the ribbon in her mouth to the applause and laughter of the crowd. At her first AKC Show, at 6 months of age, she went Winners Bitch and Best of Winners. She joined her dad, Henry (Ch. Marshfield's Boys Night Out) for Best of Breed, her mom, Carly (Ch. Maplesugar's Carillon) for Best of Opposite Sex, and her brother, Rigel, who went Winners Dog. Truly a family affair! Emily was bred by Kay Klein of North Liberty, IA.

Emily finished her championship at 9 months of age with 3 Majors and Best of Breeds over Group placing specials. She continued to show "promise" in 2001 with multiple Best of Breed wins. Emily finished the year 2001 ranked 11th in Breed standings with only limited showing. More than just a "special" in the show ring, she is very special to us and dear to our hearts.

Emily finished 2003 ranked #1 Field Spaniel bitch and #4 in Breed.
