Emily and Lacey.

In October 1999, the "spotlight" turned to Lacey. While participating in an AKC Sporting Judges Seminar in Pennsylvania, Emily and I met Lacey. More than just a pretty face, she caught our eye and won our hearts.

Lacey (Ch. Colebrooks Leather N Lace, OFA Good, CERF) finished her championship at 18 months of age, including Winners Bitch at the 1999 Spaniel Club. Lacey was bred by Deborah Stetler-Lavariere of Earlville, PA.

Lacey's sire, Ch. Audacious Black Cinder, was Best of Breed at American Spaniel Club in 1999, in addition to being a multiple Group placing black Field Spaniel. At Westminster 2002, Cinder received the Award of Merit. Cinder is owned by Todd and Ruth Ebner of PA.

Lacey continued her show career with success ending 2001 ranked 4th in Breed standings and 5th in All-Breed standings.

Lacey, a delightful addition to our family, garnered 3 group placements in 2001 - two Group 2's and one Group 4.
